Michael A. Bollenbacher, O.D.
Dr. Bollenbacher received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry.
He is the former clinical director of two former LASIK centers and he has extensive experience in refractive surgery, currently working as the lead refractive surgery consultant at Insight Lasik in Boulder, CO . Since 1996, he has provided surgical comanagement for patients requiring cataract, glaucoma, and retinal surgeries. He is the Team Optometrist for the University of Colorado Athletic Department. His other areas of professional interest include dry eye treatment, sports vision, and advanced contact lens fitting.
He is an Adjunct Clinical Professor for the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Optometry. Has has also been an Adjunct Clinical Professor for the University of Houston College of Optometry. He is an active member of the Colorado Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and is Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry.
Outside of the office, Dr. Bollenbacher averages nearly 50 hours per year continuing medical education each year to stay current in his profession. He lives in Superior, CO and enjoys spending time with his two school-aged sons, skiing, snowboarding, biking and hiking the backcountry.
Judith Marrocco, O.D.
Dr. Marrocco received her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry. She has more than 3 decades experience practicing in the Northeast U.S. and Colorado.
Dr. Marrocco sees patients over five years of age for vision care, contact lenses, refractive surgery, and ocular disease. She has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing ocular diseases such ocular infection, inflammatory eye disorders, dry eyes, glaucoma, diabetic retinal disease, and macular degeneration. She is highly skilled in fitting all types of contact lenses, from simple to complex fits, including keratoconus and post-surgical contact lens fits.
She enjoys getting to know her patients as if they were members of her own family. She enjoys spending time with her husband and her granddaughter.
Cheryl is also a Colorado native and has over 20 years of experience in eyecare. She is usually the first smiling face that you will see or hear when you step into our office or call on the phone. She is responsible for scheduling and verifying appointments, pre-testing, intake/checkout, contact lens orders and dispensing, and managing insurance issues. Consider her your primary contact person any time you have a question about your service!
Kathy received a bachelor's degree in Speech Communications and also worked for years as a proofreader and graphics artist. She is responsible for front desk duties including scheduling, pre-testing, intake/checkout, contact lens ordering and dispensing, and answering general questions about common visual and ocular problems.
